Oregon Drinking Water Protection Program

Oregon implements drinking water protection through a partnership of DEQ and the Department of Human Services (DHS). The program is designed to make information about drinking water available, as well as provide you and your community a way to get involved in protecting the quality of your drinking water. We encourage community-based protection and preventive management strategies to ensure that all public drinking water resources are kept safe from future contamination. There are many links to drinking water protection resources and other programs. For assistance with developing and implementing drinking water protection strategies, please refer to the staff contact and resources information page.
