*DEQ Item Number: All documents that are generated or
received by the DEQ’s Chemical Demilitarization Program are assigned
an Item Number for internal tracking purposes. The Item Numbers are
usually assigned sequentially in the chronological order that the
document was generated or received. For example, the first document
in the year 2001 is given the number 01-0001. Documents from 1998
and earlier have either a "98-" prefix or a sequential number from 1
through about 3,300, due to a 1998 change in our database management
system. Use this search tool if you know the DEQ Item Number.
**Keywords: A keyword search does not search within a
document, but searches a field in the database titled "description
of document." The description field might contain the title of the
document (in the case of a report, for example) or the description
might be based on the subject of the document (in the case of a
letter or a memo). For best results try several keywords. For
example, if you are looking for information on emergency
preparedness try not only the "Chemical Stockpile Emergency
Preparedness Program," but also the associated acronym, "CSEPP."
Documents returned by the search will have one of three messages
in the "Document Link" column on the far right:
- "View Document"
is a direct link to an Adobe Acrobat File
that you may open from the results page.
- "Cannot view this document"
usually means that the
document is very large and the link to the electronic file has
been disabled to prevent downloading problems for users with
modems. Just contact the DEQ Office and the document can be sent
to you, electronically or in hard copy.
- "Contact the Chemical Demilitarization Program to obtain this
document"
usually means that the document is not available
electronically. Contact the DEQ Office to request a hard copy.
- If the field is blank this item may not be available
electronically. Contact the DEQ Office for further information.
Please contact the
DEQ Office if you are having problems accessing any document.
