EducationHousehold Hazardous Waste DisplayWhat is it?There are two versions of the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) display. One for outdoor/indoor use and the other for indoor use only (or fair weather). The displays are designed for use at education/outreach events to educate the public on what are hazardous types of household products and what are some suggested alternatives. Outdoor/Indoor Display
Indoor Display
Why do I need it?These displays are designed to educate the public on household hazardous products and their alternatives. They are attractive and can be used with or without a staff person. Where would I use it?This display is particularly useful prior to HHW collection events and comes with a reminder about a mercury thermometer exchange, if that is part of the collection event. The reminder is detachable if a thermometer exchange is not part of the event. Other locations for these displays are libraries, town halls, community centers, schools, fairs, etc. When and for how long may I use it?Anytime of the year, for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, depending on demand. If and whenever possible, please allow up to ten (10) days for delivery. How can I reserve it?Contact DEQ's Solid Waste Section as early as possible to make a reservation for your upcoming event: 503-229-6724, or toll-free within Oregon at 1-800-452-4011 x6724.
