Note: In 1997, DEQ developed guidance on Generic Remedies for Soils Contaminated with Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), in a joint effort with the electrical utility industry.

Because of new developments in toxicology and human health risk assessment, many numeric values in this 1997 guidance document are outdated. This guidance should be used for general background information and reference purposes only. For current risk assessment approaches and risk-based concentrations, please consult DEQ guidance documents and/or contact a DEQ project manager.
